Iconic Pineapple Bikini Car Wash of an AMG SL55 with gold plated emblems
Of course, it’s a well known photograph, even a classic in the bikini car wash world. But there’s more to know about this picture & the car.
Born to American parents in Germany, this lady is not only beautiful, but also smart! She studied mechanical engineering at California State Polytechnic University. She retired in 2013.
Oddly enough, new videos do get published from time to time.
While looking at the photo’s, the giant wheels don’t go unnoticed. When she keeps around the car to clean it, the badge is revealed.
SL 55, which is a Mercedes AMG SL55. The car was produced between 2001 - 2008 (R230). This one is very special, as only 300 were ever made.
As you look closer, the badge seems to be gold plated. But you have to see more pics of the same car to conclude it is actually gold-plated.
And indeed, Amy did another shoot with the same car, where the side badges are clearly gold plated.
Other Car Wash Photo’s
Amy did other bikini car wash themed shoots. But none come close to the first one with the pineapple bikini.
The First is simply titled “Amy Ried at The Car Wash”
This set is ridiculous. It’s so fake and staged, it might as well not be made.
There’s no foam! Only water is used. The car is also too mundane, a red Ford Focus.
Another shoot is probably just a movie scene, instead of a photo set. It’s called Boobs of Hazard.
I even doubt whether an orange General Lee was used.
Of all the sets Amy made with a bikini car wash theme, the first one nails it!
I think that’s because it’s actually genuine. Like, it was made when she actually wanted to wash the car.
The car is perfect for such a photo shoot. It has curves, and straight lines.
If you’re curious, the car was sold by Mercedes dealer Scottsdale Arizona.
